Competition 6

TREASURES OF BRITAIN - six different places to find

Congratulations to the winner of this competition, Cameron Christie.

Competition No 6 - By Ann Hughes

A post! A tail! and four main sails,
On a Green it can be seen.

An apprentice, in legend,
Sadly was killed,
For the Pillar that some say,
Was not all his own skill.

Here in a Cathedral
For your surprise,
Is a library chained,
And a map of great size.

Near Portsmouth
A Chester you will find,
Once a palace of a kind.

Search temples and grottoes
In Classical style,
But look for the head
In this Palladian ‘pile’.
