The Armchair Treasure Hunt Club
Code of Conduct

Anyone taking part in a treasure hunt must act responsibly if we are to avoid bringing our hobby into disrepute.

Common sense must prevail at all times.

Do not dig anywhere you are likely to cause damage or give offence. Contact the club if you are in doubt.

Follow the Country Code.

All land is owned and/or managed by some person or authority and the right of access determined by various laws and bylaws. The existence of a track or path on an Ordnance Survey map does not imply a right of way.

Anyone setting a treasure hunt has a duty to minimise any inconvenience to others and the risk of damage to property, particularly with regard to sites of archaeological or historical significance.

Any specific considerations must be published along with the treasure hunt.

The club is available to offer advice.
