The Armchair Treasure Hunt Club
A Pirate's Legacy

A Pirates Legacy was club hunt number three, written and devised by club member Mark Parry, and was featured in newsletter 10/11 (November 1993 ). The story was very loosely based around the tale of Captain Kidd. The clues led to the treasure pictured above, which consisted of a brass telescope and three gold sovereigns (circa 1900) and an eight reale silver coin (circa 1790). These were housed in a white crackle ceramic cylinder casket and buried on an island somewhere in the United Kingdom. The hunt was solved and unearthed by member Bob Dixon, who's story of discovery was told in the September 1994 issue of the newsletter.
