  1. During April, at a very worthy village auction, a piece of land is sold by candlelight! Followed by a supper of bread, cheese and watercress.

  2. A Feast of Oysters in the Moot Hall? Ask the Mayor of this town on September 1st.

    ANSWER: Colchester, Essex

  3. A traditional custom where all these souls hunt a duck! Not as often as they used to. Once an annual ceremony, on January 14th. ‘Let’s dabble, duck and dive in a bowl’.

  4. Leaving the pub, beware this old beast and his Teaser! It’s the first merry morning of May.
