FIND THE NAMES OF FOUR NATIONAL TREASURES

  1. Travel they did, come hail or come shine
    For Pilgrims sought here a relic fine!
    Mentioned by Chaucer, so do not fail
    To find the ruin, and Pardon the Tale!

    ANSWER: Hailes Abbey, Glos.

  2. Home to a famous Fox!
    Founded in 1232,
    And now a famous Potter,
    Has left his mark too!

    ANSWER: Lacock Abbey, Wilts.

  3. A watery Abbey!
    Founded in 1132.
    Now a beautifully preserved,
    Romantic ruin to view.

    ANSWER: Fountains Abbey, Yorks.

  4. This was once a fine Abbey,
    A word above, should ring a bell!
    Was built by the river Severn,
    And is now a roofless shell.

    ANSWER: Buildwas Abbey, Shrops.
