ENGLISH UPS AND DOWNS
  1. This large park, above a gorge and on a Down,
    Gives views of ships making for port and town.

    ANSWER: Clifton Downs, Bristol

  2. The ruins of a castle built to guard,
    Near Lower and Upper and a famous yard.

    ANSWER: Upnor Castle, Kent

  3. Up in this land is a famous school, but,
    This clue just puts you in a rut!

    ANSWER: Uppingham, Rutland

  4. Plenty of space on these hilly downs!
    Named after ponies that once roamed around.

    ANSWER: Goonhilly Downs, Cornwall
